Assistant business manager, part-time or full-time

Embarcadero Media, the Peninsula's leading media organization and publisher of the Palo Alto Weekly, is seeking a local resident to join our team as assistant business manager. We're looking for an individual who is highly organized and detail-oriented with a desire to join a friendly, supportive environment of creative people who are passionate about serving our local communities with award-winning journalism.

The assistant business manager will work with a small team supporting the day-to-day operations of our business department, which includes payroll, payment of bills and handling incoming revenue, as well as other administrative duties and special projects. Although some past business experience is desirable, we will provide training as needed if you have a college degree, are proficient in Excel and possess a desire to learn new skills.

With the flexibility of a part-time schedule that can adapt to family or other needs, this position is perfect for someone looking for a job at an organization with a mission of quality local journalism and community service. Located just three blocks from the California Ave. train station, our office, which houses the Palo Alto Weekly, Palo Alto Online, The Almanac, Mountain View Voice and other digital media operations, is easily accessible by train, bike or walking.
